About Skilz

​

Artist Jose May, better known as "Skilz" is a resident muralist in the Dallas area with over 20 years of experience creating bold and expressive artwork. Working primarily with spray paint, his style blends elements of graffiti, contemporary and abstract design.

​

Skilz began his artistic journey early, teaching himself the fundamentals of drawing and painting. He later became a member of one of Dallas's early graffiti crews, Infinite Crew (IC), where he became known for his colorful and imaginative character work. 

​

Influenced and mentored by fellow artists along the way, Skilz draws inspiration from personal experiences and aims to create artwork that encourages viewers to see things differently and think outside the box.

​

His murals can be found throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area, including neighborhoods such as Deep Ellum, Arlington, Plano and other cities across DFW.

In 2017, Skilz partnered with local artist Pkin to launch Art Loot 52, an online platform showcasing work from both artists and built around the idea of encouraging viewers to "Look Closer. Enjoy More."
